Raving about the Cotton Patch Cafe

May 18, 2008

If there is one near you, you gotta give it a try!  The food was really good, the atmosphere was family friendly and the service was excellent.  After Jason got his tux, we ate at Cotton Patch where Tonya had her first taste of blackberry cobbler.  Don’t think she really liked it but Jason did.  Tonya still had a list so we were in three cars and each took a piece of the list so everyone made it home by 9 pm.  Jason and Rodney went to bed at 9:30 but all the girls and I stayed up til 2:30 so I could make Amy a wrap-around skirt to wear over her swimsuit. She just never found a coverup for hers.  While I was sewing, the back door wasn’t closed good and Darby got out of the house and was gone a really long time.  I was so scared.  We have panthers, coyotes, and possums, not to mention hugh dogs that could have swallowed his 5 pound self without chewing!  I finally found him.  So relieved.  Now I worry about while we are gone that someone will come in to take care of him and Putz and they will leave the door open.  It would hurt so very badly if something happened to that little dog.

Well, the packing is done.  At this point, I would only get 2 1/2 hours sleep so I decided to sit a bit and then just get ready to go.  I’ll sleep on the boat tonight! :>)
